Arte, técnica y usabilidad
Me ha llamado la atención un comentario hecho al artículo Escribir para la web en Úsalo. Dice sobre las reglas para escribir para la web:
Pues yo creo que si todos siguiéramos estos consejos lo único que conseguiríamos es tener un montón de textos formalmente iguales con el fondo un poco cambiado, anulando así tanto la variedad de estilos como el toque literario de muchos textos y también la libertad formal del escritor.
Esta opinión me hacer recordar algo que he escuchado demasiado a menudo: la usabilidad mata la creatividad (aunque esta afirmación suele referirse al diseño visual).
Yo no estoy de acuerdo. Por ejemplo, los pintores clásicos se pasaban años de aprendices en talleres, asimilando las técnicas y teoría del color, luz, composición y perspectiva y no dejaban de ser creativos. Utilizaban un medio de expresión que tenía sus propias reglas que había que conocer para aplicar en sus creaciones artísticas.
Creo que las reglas nos dan un punto de apoyo esencial, sin el cual lo único que haríamos sería dar bandazos sin sentido de un lado a otro. Y cada medio tiene sus reglas, tanto para las creaciones artísticas como para las necesidades más mundanas.

No sólo los pintores clásicos se pasaban media vida asimilando técnicas y teorías, incluso ahora todavía se sigue haciendo.
Pues no se si estar muy de acuerdo contigo respecto a la creatividad. Esos pintores clásicos eran creativos hasta cierto punto y cuando lo eran, lo eran respecto al tema que pintaban, no respecto a la técnica utilizada.

Estoy de acuerdo contigo. Lo que pretendía decir es que la técnica es necesaria para cualquier artista y que dominarla y aplicarla no significa que no seas creativo. Lo mismo ocurré, creo yo, en el diseño visual o en la creación de textos para la web.
Escogí a los pintores clásicos porque me pareció muy ilustrativa la forma de aprendizaje que tenían en talleres de maestros. También podiamos tomar como ejemplo la música, en dónde te pudes pasar aaaaaaños estudiando... o cualquier otro arte, vaya.
